For those who have spent the fair share in casinos and dealt hands more often than pay slips, a new card game is one of the easiest things to learn.
Well, good news for you. If you are playing poker, but you want to change the schematics and feel of the game, then you can try playing Let it Ride.
In this game, you play with the dealer. Yeah, you read it right, WITH the dealer. Because if the dealer gets some good cards, then you could get a good hand.
Now, do you want to learn more?
Playing Let it Ride is easy. You only need basic knowledge on cards valuation and hand rankings to be able to understand and play Let it Ride. Like in poker variations like video poker, Let it Ride allows you to play poker on your own, winning prizes for successfully making a poker hand with the player’s and the dealer’s card.
The first thing that the player has to do is place bets on circles marked $, 1 and 2. Placing bets in Let it Ride means you have to place the same amount of bet on each circle. After betting, the dealer deals three cards for the player and two cards for himself facedown.
The player then chooses to either to let the first bet on circle 1 ride, or scratch it and have your bets pushed. A bet that was left to ride must stay until the end of the game; likewise, a pushed bet stays out of the game.
The dealer then reveals the first card. Again, the player can make the bet on 2 circle ride, or have it pushed back. After the choice, the dealer reveals his last card.
After that, the hand formed with the player and the dealer cards are evaluated and if it has a pair of 10s or better, the player will be paid based on a Let it Ride payout table.
The idea between having three bets and opportunity to get is to make sure you can protect the 1 and 2 bets and earn the $ bet in the long run. Remember that in Let it Ride, the dealer has a house edge of 3.51% on their favor. That means you need to make the most of the short run winnings.
A good strategy could mean you need to take them back if the odds of having at least a pair of tens are not good, and let them ride if you have bee dealt a good hand.
That means you should let your bet ride on hands with at least a pair of 10s. It is also good to let the bet ride for cards that could make a straight flush, a royal flush, a flush, or a straight.
